About 2 years ago, my sis and I started a new tradition. We bought advent calendars for each other.
In case you’re not aware of what advent it, it is the 24 days leading up to Christmas. Advent calendars come in many forms, it could be just a calendar where the countdown is recorded or it could be something that has a little gift for each day, typically a chocolate.
For my sis and I, we decided to set a budget and the plan was to come up with 24 small gifts, exchange the 24 gifts before 1 December and then open them one by one as we countdown to Christmas. This year we decided to do things a little different and to make things easier for ourselves and found advent calendars online and bought them for each other. We still don’t know what is exactly inside our chosen advents so there is still the excitement of opening a gift to come.
I also went ahead and bought a bunch of other different kinds of advent calendars for myself. I’ve not gotten a total of 7 advent calendars to open next month hehe. So let me go through the different advents I’ve got for 2023 and I’ll have links for each of them too.
Now I’ve only opened one of them so far (explanation why later) so I will show you the contents of them all after Christmas when I’m done opening them., If you can’t wait, please check out my Instagram as I will be posting there daily with what’s inside.

Paosod Natural Healing Crystal Advent Calendar

I’ve always been interested in healing crystals but just never knew where to start and this looked like a good place to start.
The Book Lover’s Advent Calendar

I’m a pretty avid reader though I sort of slacked off for most of this year but I’m a book lover nonetheless so I thought this would be an interesting one to get. It says it has 25 bookish gifts for readers.
Harry Potter Holiday Magic Advent Calendar – Creatures of the Wizarding World

Now I’m a big fan of Harry Potter but I don’t go crazy either but I thought this would be so cute to have. It’s supposed to have a variety of things from cards, to little books to little ornaments. BTW Hufflepuff girl here.
Funko Pop! Advent Calendar : Star Wars

This is a combination of two loves of mine – my love of Funko toys and my love of Star Wars (I grew up watching the original trilogy at the movie theatres). These are all mini Funkos so they are going to be so cute!!!!! Can’t wait!
Coral & Ink Stationery Advent Calendar

I saw this on Instagram and told my sis about it. We both ended up getting one for ourselves. It was a good thing to because after we received our orders, Coral & Ink announced that this would be the last year they do the advent calendar. You could pick the colour of the journal but I opted to let them choose so that it will all be a surprise to me.
Typo Stationery Advent Calendar

This was actually a last-minute whim. My sis and I were talking about advents and telling each other the other ones we had gotten (she had picked up one from The Body Shop). Advent calendars are kind of a new thing for her so I was telling her that actually this year it seems that a lot of places where offering advent calendars, including Typo so we both went online to check it out with the Singapore stores. There was only 2 left online and they both the black latte ones so we quickly ordered them. These were different in that they were not the full advent calendar but 12 items instead.
As there was only 12 items, my sis and I decided to open this one together. So here’s what was inside.

Items 1 – 6: (1) ballpoint pen; (2) pencil sharpener; (3) 2 rolls of washi tape; (4) A6 lined notebook; (5) puffy stickers; (6) mini bulldog clips

Items 7 – 12: (7) 4 gel pens; (8) eraser; (9) mouse pad; (10) 3 dual tip markers; (11) gold arrow paperclips; (12) post it notes
