One of the things I love to do is scrapbook but rather than doing large spreads, I much prefer to do mini albums. I try to do mini albums for each of my trips so here is one I did for my Seoul trip. Warning – this is a very picture heavy post.
I keep all my tickets, receipts, maps and brochures from my trip and even try to get duplicates of maps and brochures so that I can keep one set for the next trip and reference lol.
I made this album in line with what I had learned through an Ali Edwards course I had taken called Scrapbook On The Road – link here.
Instead of using binder rings like the class suggested, I used a Bo Bunny binder from the Misc, Me collection which I covered with some travel related papers I had. The album is perfect for holding 6×8 pages/protectors. Some of my pages are made by covering a thin piece of chipboard or just sticking two pieces of paper together.
For titles, I used a variety of thickers and mini alpha stickers. For embellishments I used stickers, labels, Tim Holtz Fragments, chipboard stickers, metal flairs and some other bits n pieces. I like to buy postcards to use as inserts – in this case, I’d stick two together. I made a pocket at the back using a 12×12 sheet to hold maps or brochures I had picked up.
I used Photoscape to create my photo collages – I love this little program because it can do so much, doesn’t take up much space on your computer and is way easier to use that Photoshop. I just wished they had a Mac version so that I can use it on my laptop too.
